Hi @naraharasetti  ,

It is not possible to restrict access to a Knowledge Base or Knowledge Article for users who have the knowledge_admin role using User Criteria.

Reason:
Knowledge Admins have elevated privileges and explicitly bypass User Criteria evaluation by design. This behavior is documented by ServiceNow and applies to Knowledge Admins, KB Owners, and Managers.

Recommended solution:
Remove the knowledge_admin role from users who should not have access. User Criteria should be used only for non-privileged users.

You can refer to this document to review and manage access to articles

Hi @naraharasetti

As @Huynh Loc have stated, this is not possible. I sounds like you have a governance issue instead if a user has knowledge admin role, but should not have access to specific knowledge articles.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
