Change to refresh rate of Dashboards

Cat
Tera Guru

Hi All,

It's been reported by one of my users that following the upgrade from Yokohama to Australia, Dashboards are no longer updating immediately. This is used by all managers.

For example they resolved an incident and it doesn't immediately remove it from the dashboard list visualisation.

I have updated the Data Refresh to 10 minutes Scheduled Repetition, but they want it to be done instantly.

I checked the release notes and I couldn't see that this was changing anywhere.

Can anyone advise if there is a solution for this? Can someone explain when it changed?

Thanks,

Cat

Hi @Cat

Refer KB: KB2195967 Platform Analytics Dashboard - Configuring Refresh Interval

Resolution

  • Navigate to the Platform Analytics dashboard and open it in edit mode.
  • Under the Settings menu, locate the Refresh interval (minutes) option.
  • Set the desired refresh interval, with a minimum allowed value of 10 minutes. Higher intervals can be set as needed.
  • Save the settings to apply the automatic refresh schedule.
  • Note that this refresh is scheduled and does not provide real-time or event-triggered updates but ensures the dashboard data updates periodically based on the configured interval.

NOTE:- The setting is not available to ITIL users and is only available to admin users.

As I mentioned in my original post, I have already made that change, however they want it to be instant

Hi @Cat

I guess you missed this "

  • Note that this refresh is scheduled and does not provide real-time or event-triggered updates but ensures the dashboard data updates periodically based on the configured interval."

No, I didn't miss that, I was wondering if there was an alternative solution to make it instant as it seemingly was previously.
