Custom interactive filters - how can I use these on Performance Analytics widgets?

Hi!  I've tried a few suggestions from previous posts on here but nothing seems to work.  I'm not too good at scripting but I can get by however I've hit a brick wall now.

I have several widgets showing Performance Analytics data using Incident SLA as the facts table.  I want the user to be able to filter these based on vendor which means I am dot walking as follows - assignment_group.vendors.

I have added a breakdown to the indicator and to the dashboard for vendor but because it is a multi type field I can't use the usual method of a drop down or check box.  So I would like the user to either be able to type into a free text field the vendor they want to filter on or even better if I can create a list they can choose from a pre-defined list of vendors.

I have followed some of the suggestions here  (changing short description to vendor) but it doesn't seem to work - nothing gets filtered!  I'm not sure if I've scripted it correctly or if you can use dot walking in this way.  

Hopefully someone can find a few minutes in their day to help me here as I've run out of ideas!

Hi @MattA1, 

According to your requirement, you don't need to script anything. In general as I understand your requirement, vendors is listed in the column assignment_group.vendor. According to this, just create a breakdown and a breakdown source, to filter on the assignment_group.vendor.

Performance Analytics widgets on the dashboard do not follow interactive filters. Separately filter those widgets on the same breakdown source by using the breakdown dashboard controls. For more information, see Using breakdowns on dashboards.
