Hello Community,
I am encountering an expected but problematic discrepancy between the average score calculated by an Automated Indicator and the average calculated by a Platform Analytics Report for the same field and conditions.
The difference in results is preventing data validation, and I need assistance in understanding why the numbers are off when both are pulling from the same data set.
Configuration Details
| Component | Aggregation Result | |
| Automated Indicator | 158 hrs | |
| Standard Report (platform Analytics) | 152 hrs |
Automated Indicator Configuration (PA):
- Source Table: Case table
- Source: Total Cases
- Frequency: Daily
- Indicator Condition: Business Duration IS NOT EMPTY
- Indicator Score Condition: Created on Today
- Aggregation: AVG field Business Duration
- Unit: Hours
Platform Analytics Report Configuration:
- Source Table: Case table (or relevant table)
- Conditions: Business Duration IS NOT EMPTY
- Metric: AVG(Business Duration)
Observation:
- Both the PA Indicator and the Standard Report show the exact same number of records when filtered for the same period.
- The average scores are different (158 hrs vs. 152 hrs).
Question:
The record count is the same, what common scenario or configuration detail in Performance Analytics would cause the Automated Indicator's average to differ from the direct Report average?
