When building a visualization with Type: List andTable: catalog_task, I need to display columns with the Variables in the list, and sometime also to build filters from Variables.
In the old reporting system, dot-walking to variables was straightforward and seldom had any delays - you would select the catalog task and then it only showed you the variables in that task.
However in PA Visualizations, it doesn't allow you to first select the catalog task. You can search on the specific variable, and if it has a unique name, it eventually shows up but it's very slow because it is searching all catalog tasks.
But if the variable is common to most catalog tasks (like Request Type) it shows the first few and then it just spins the circle of frustration until it times out.
Is there a trick to make it easier to find without it timing out?
