Element filter & Show top X in Analytics Platform?

Hi,

We can create top X breakdown Widgets in Performance Analytics. we can also do it manually. Also we can define Element filter capability to define dynamic visualization based on the logged user.

Do we have similar capabilities in Plafrom Analytics and particularly when creating filters via the visualization designed?

Soumaya,

If you look at the Element filter documentation, you see the following:

  • Element filters are still created on the Performance Analytics back end, in pa_filters records. This has not changed.
  • Platform analytics data visualizations support element filters. In the Visualization Designer, select the element filter when you select the data source, through the condition builder for the breakdown.
    "In a Platform Analytics data visualization: While configuring the data visualization, select an indicator data source, a breakdown, and the [is (dynamic)] operator. Any elements filters for that breakdown are then available in the Element field. Only automated indicators with the Count, Minimize, or Maximize aggregate are supported."

As for Top X breakdowns, the Group By settings let you determine how many elements to show. Then if Sorting is in Descending order, these will be the biggest elements, and if in Ascending order, these will be the smallest.
