Embedding Platform Analytics dashboard/visualization in service portal

Hello there,

 

I am struggling a bit trying to adopt the new unified Platform Analytics visualizations when it comes to the service portal. We have a large number of internal end-users that would like to see reporting on the number of tickets submitted by their teams. They do not work with tickets directly and only access ServiceNow from the service portal as "customers".

 

We have built a Platform Analytics dashboard to show them this information. We used this method because of the migration coming in Australia, and we felt it made sense to avoid having to migrate it later by building it as visualizations now.

However, there seem to be no widgets that can handle this in either employee center or service portal. A simple HTML widget on the service portal page redirects to the UI when that widget is loaded.

I've seen a thread on community where someone built a custom widget to embed a Platform Analytics dashboard. But is that the direction that ServiceNow is expecting we take (custom widgets)? Or are they expecting that everyone needing to see data off the platform has to use the UI and the Analytics Center?

In the end, we need to get our dashboards on the portal...any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for sharing the link here...I didn't have it handy when I was posting. That's the thread I was referring to in my post...it's the only reference I can find to doing this! I feel like this must be somewhere natively (like the performance analytics widget) on the platform but I'm starting to doubt it! 🙂  I was hoping to not have to build a widget/page for it. 🤞
