I am trying to hide all the system generated dashboards (CMDB and Incident ones) from the list of available ones for all users, including system admins. We do not use them at all at the moment but do not want to delete them in case they are needed in the future.
I have tried making them inactive but all that does is put (inactive) after the name, changing the groups that can access them works for most users but not system admins.
Any ideas?

Hi ianhamo,
If you have only less number of Dashboards,
Then you can open up each and every Dashboard and give Some role which is not applied for any one in Read Role,
By doing this you are limiting the Read Access of the dashboard to that specific role.
PS: Hit like, Helpful or Correct depending on the impact of the response

I just did this today as well. Took me forever to try to get the CMDB ones hidden.
you need to open up each dashboard as sys_admin and then modify who it's shared with. By default permissions were given to ITIL and Asset groups. I removed both but added our SN support group so we wouldn't lose visibility to them, but if you just remove ITIL and Asset groups then no one will see them in the drop down select box.
