How to group data by Month instead of Created Date in Data Visualization?

Hi All,

I have created a Data Visualization for incidents opened in July, August, and September. Currently, I have Created Date in the rows and State in the columns, which displays the data by individual dates.

Current output:

Created Date New In Progress Pending Resolved

01-Jul	5	2	1	3
02-Jul	4	3	2	1
03-Jul	6	1	0	4

Expected output:

Month New In Progress Pending Resolved

July	120	45	30	160
August	135	52	28	175
September	142	48	35	190

Is there a way to group the rows by month directly within Data Visualization, without using a dashboard-level time filter?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Only ServiceNow solution is to utilize a time series vizulization.
