I am looking to report on "Days Open" one the Incident record.

We do not have PA so I am looking for a simple number of days open field on the Incident record.

I thought it would be a standard field but I do not see it listed.

Am I missing it ?

You can use Business Duration , but that's going to give you days/hours/minutes.

Not the best solution but if you export this to Excel, the business duration converts to total SECONDS.

You could then do some calculating in Excel to calculate this to minutes, then hours, and then Days and round up.

Also, you should have the free trial version of PA for Incident so you may be able to do it there. Depends if this is a one time thing or something you need to implement on going.

Thank you for the Information!

Is there an OOB way to track how long an Incident has been opened for, up to the point of looking at the report, without it having been resolved? The Business Duration unfortunately displays no value unless it is resolved.

For example, I go to my report, there is an Incident that has been opened for 100 days, but is not yet resolved, can I have this display on a report list with OOB column configuration?

Tracy is correct, business duration measures in terms of your default calendar, just 'duration' to measure total start to stop time.  There are also some Performance Analytics indicators that measure average age of an incident in hours and days, but I don't recall whether or not they're available without the premium Performance Analytics offering.
