Is it possible to create a report with yearly trend lines

HI Guys,

I need to generate a report where the trend lines are one below another. I tried using the Multi Datasets option, but it doesnt show the lines one below another.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Have you looked at a previous period time series in PA?

Hi Ashby,

your solution is exactly what me and my team have to do.

Unfortunately I didn't find a way to let the report work the same way of yours.

My report just shows the sum of the values stored in my table. Below an example:

Any suggestion on of let my report work? Or, if you already know, what can be the problem?

Thanks so much,

Gennaro

If you want to use the "previous period chart" feature do the following on the widget:

- put the checkmark on "previous period chart"

- that should have added the "previous period settings" section, select months and 2 on number of periods.

- ensure the Time series field is empty, that should show the days of the current month on the dashboard.

Doing this will compare the current month with the previous month (not the same month an year ago) on a DAILY display on the horizontal axis.

Alternatively, you can go back to your widget and configure it this way:

- Time series: by month...

- "previous period settings" section, select years and 2 on number of periods.

Doing this will compare the current year displayed by month on the horizontal axis with the previous' year months.

Hope this helps.

Your screen shows the widget result on a dashboard.

Please, show a screen of that widget configuration. I may be able to point you in the right direction.
