Is there a way we can have a week/month filter on Dashboard on ServiceNow instance ?
example - I land on Dashboard and there is a field to choose show by Month/Week which when clicked will update the widgets (charts, trend, scorecard) on dashboard as per the range selected above.
So if I choose show my month, it will show all reports in widgets as per month.
If there is no OOB way, what can be the next closest achievable thing

If your data has the 'month' or 'week' data on it, you can very easily do that. If it is like 'incidents created in January' you can't do that with the 'old' reporting.
Platform Analytics, however, has a very cool date filter in which you can set all kinds of things (like weeks and months). And since within a year you will be forced to migrate to Platform Analytics, it may be a good thing to start with it now, especially since your requirement is in there, OOB.

Can you elaborate on the date filter? As far as I understand the documentation and when I tested it in my PDI the date filter only lets you select the date ranges from when the data was collected. What I think the thread is about is if we can set up a button to change the format of the widgets to show the trend week by week, month by month instead of daily. Currently our solution is to create separate widgets for dashboards that show trends over weeks or months.

I've found the PA date filter to be available only for visualizations that are based off of PA Indicators. That filter option is not available when the visualization is based off other sources (for example, using a table as the data source).

Hi David, Yes, it can work with table data (reports) as well, the only thing you will need to specify how exactly you want it to work, So in 'Data to filter" section of filter configuration you need to specify which table/by which date field you want to filter.
