Moving a Dashboard between instances

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the movement of dashboards between instances.

In my test instance I have a dashboard with some widgets on it. In a recent story, there was a requirement to add a new widget to said dashboard, which would in turn force one o the existing widgets to reduce its width in order for the new one to fit in the dashboard in the desired position.

I've unloaded the dashboard to an update set but that didn't work, the new widget was not added. I tried to add manually some apparently missing records but nothing changed except: The existing widget did get smaller in width and where I should have the new widget there is only an empty space.

I wonder if there is any action that I'm missing or if what is missing requires some manual action on the target instance.

Go to widget table and check whether it is moved from test. 

If not xml it. 

Afterwards try to add it again manually on dashboard from the list.

Thanks for your answer. I made a mistake explaining. It is not a widget, it is a Dynamic Content.

Unloading the dashboard only pushes the dashboard layout into the update set.  Any PA Widgets, Reports, Indicators, or Content Blocks need to be created or updated while the update set is open.  They are not included by unloading the dashboard.
