Order Guide for Self Service in Analytics Platform

Can an order guide be added to a Dashboard that allows self-service users to request items? I added an order guide to a dashboard but it opens in a mode to allow editing the guide instead of allowing the user to request an item

As per my knowledge, ServiceNow dashboards cannot directly embed an Order Guide as an interactive form like you see in the Service Catalog.

But using a trick you can link  like 

  • You can add a “Catalog Items” widget to your dashboard.

  • This can display Order Guides as clickable links, so users can launch them without navigating the catalog manually.

  • Users click the widget and are taken to the Order Guide form to complete it.

You can try this approach.

Hi Tanushree - Thanks for your prompt response. I am using a Platform Analytics dashboard and I don't see a way to add a widget. We are on Zurich

I added a Rick Text element and was able to add links like you suggested. The only drawback I can see is that user permissions on the catalog item or order guide won't be honored until after the link is clicked. In other words, I can't control the visibility.
