Platform Analytics dashboard: redirect to workspace?

We have clients using SOW or the CSM/FSM workspace. Before workspaces existed their agents worked from dashboards. They clicked on the report showing their work and were brought to a list with that work.

With Platform Analytics dashboards this still works: they click on the report and are taken to the list of records they need to do something with. Only: this list is in the old UI, not in the workspaces, which have been designed for them to work from. 

I know that creating a landing page on a workspace showing the reports that are on the dashboard(s) will keep them inside of the workspace, but when an agent is tasked with an assignment that needs him to work from another dashboard, he expects the same overview when clicking on the report. 

 

Is there any work done related to redirecting from a PAE dashboard to workspace(s)? Is this something on the backlog or (hopefully) already being tested for a next release?

 

Next Experience really is a huge improvement to the old UI, but PAE is now forcing us to keep using that view.

No. This is not possible. A huge oversight from ServiceNow. Everyone needs to move to workspaces, but they are creating a complete new reporting experience and keep on redirecting users to the old view, making it impossible to only focus on getting the workspaces up to date.

We had the same issue on a recent project. We reported it to ServiceNow and it was identified as a bug that had been fixed in the latest release. Have you tried the latest release?

p.s. you do also need to make sure your visualisations and UIB pages if embedding in UIB are configured correctly. I believe details for this is readily available in the docs and in the community (*I'll circle back around when I have a bit more time to grab those details and add them here).

@Francis Cavaciu please let me know how this can be done. My instance is on Yokohama and fully updated to the latest PAE store app version, but when clicking on any data visualization on a PAE dashboard, I am routed to the core view instead of a workspace.

And on the visualizations themselves, I can only chose to be redirected to the data (core ui) or to a URL (and yes, I can add a workspace there, but it won't take me to the filtered records).

 

I know that it will work if you add visualizations to a workspace landing page. Those will keep you inside the workspace, but any dashboard (even when opened within the workspace) will redirect to the core ui.
