Hello All
I used to create cascading filters in older UI using interactive filters. I was wondering if we have that functionality available in Platform Analytics filters. I also wanted to check if we can create a filter on a text field. Please let me know your findings.
Thank you

Hi @PraveenaS ,
ServiceNow Supported Cascading Filters:
Reference Fields: Filters can cascade when there's a defined relationship, such as a reference field linking two tables.
>> Example: A filter on the Company field can cascade to a filter on the Assignment Group field if there's a reference relationship between them.....
Many-to-Many (M2M) Relationships: Filters can also cascade through M2M relationships, allowing for more complex filtering scenarios....
Limitations:
No Direct Cascading Without Defined Relations: If there's no reference or M2M relationship between fields, cascading is not supported.
>> Example: Attempting to cascade filters between unrelated fields, like "VP" and "Manager" on the same table without a defined relationship, will not work.

Hello Kaushal
Thank you for your response. I do not see a cascading filter type in Platform Analytics. Can you please share a screenshot of an example cascade filter you created in Platform Analytics?

It's not a separate filter type but a way to configure a Single or Multiple Select filter. Please see https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-now-intelligence/page/use/par-for-workspace/task/cre...
Apologies in advance for the confusing way I wrote the example. I have improved it somewhat, but the improvements won't be published until mid-September.
