hi All,
I trust this email finds you well.
Situation
i want a report showing all incidents in a period of time where i can specify in a filter the it owner.
The "IT owner" is a reference field in the business application form.
We use the "configuration item" field in the incident form to select the ci (could be a business application or a server, switch, etc).
The idea is for the report is to select the "it owner" and to show a list of incidents where the CI has the it owner configured in the business application form (without having duplicate records).
Issue
the issues i am facing are:
1 - when using a simple report (incident table) i can only show incidents where the CI is a business application.
2 - when using a database view (incident, business application, cmdb_rel_ci) the report shows duplicate records because i am using the "relationship" table.
is there a better way of doing it without having this issues?
i have access to analytics. could i use it to get this report?
regards.

Hi @El Cuchi
I don’t think you need a database view — you can do it easily using the incident table only.
Try something like this.

hi Atul,
thanks for your response.
i know i can do it witha report inspecting one table only, but then i will miss all incidents where the CI is not a business application.
regards,
Max

Hi @El Cuchi
Do you have the IT owner field in the CI class as well, or only in BA?
