What governance topic do you think more Platform Owners should understand earlier?
Technical skill will get you hired, but governance responsibility will get you trusted. As ServiceNow expands inside our organization, I've felt that my fellow platform owners and I are beginning to understand governance as a force multiplier. Adopting a strong governance approach has forced all of us to consider multiple aspects simulatenously, regardless of our portion of the instance:
• CSDM alignment
• Data ownership models
• Upgrade discipline
• Customization guardrails
• Lifecycle planning
Governance isn’t the most glamorous thing, and it often means saying to the execs “not yet” or “not that way.” But we know long-term platform health depends on those decisions. How is your governance journey going in your org?
