Hey Process Mining Gurus!
I have my feet wet, but still more new at this... so...
To run an Assignment Group Analysis in Process Mining, do I need a new project or can I add a table configuration to an existing project from the same table that is done by state changes?
Are there any "Tribal Knowledge" settings I need to add to the Project definition to make sure I can see the ping-pong and extra step (assignment group) that didn't need to be done?
Thank you in advance for your guidance!!!
Respectfully,
Jackie

So it sort of worked adding it to the existing project, but it is serious ugly/scary. Would it be more effective as its own project?

Thank you for posting. My recommendation would be to initially create a separate project for Assignment Group analysis. As you've found out you can put multiple activity definitions in the same project but it does make the map a bit more "interesting". Multiple activity definitions can be useful when we get to more specific use case. I'd suggest taking a look at the first recording on this page. https://www.servicenow.com/community/process-mining-article/process-optimization-academy-7-15-22-how... We walk through creating two projects. One of them is the assignment group project. There is a trick to add an extra activity of "active" when you are building out an assignment group project and this is covered in the video. Let us know how it works out. Look forward to chatting again soon.

@Jackie Mondora - There are no settings/configuration required and not sure which existing projects you are modifying but you can check who created those project. It could be someone from your company.
Creating a new Process Mining project is very simple (similar to creating a new report).
You can use ITSM content pack for process mining to start your journey.
Would suggest you to checkout below videos that would help you to understand more about process mining.

Hi Chirag:
Thanks! I have created the projects on several of our workflows. I just see some latency going between filters and the crazy amount of assignment groups in some cases. I may have solved the question myself given that I can seem to get just assignment groups without knowing which workflow state transition it is happening in... so it is added in the activity definition with the state as one and the assignment group as the other. Logically that makes sense to me.
I have been doing a lot of the training and use case things, many of them by D Grady (and they are fantastically helpful!)
Thanks for your input and it is great to know someone is out there!!!
Respectfully,
Jackie
