Hi Andrew,

This is a very vague question so the answer won't be very specific either:

 

You can start with the official ServiceNow Developer Site (developer.servicenow.com), check out the Learning path “Application Development Fundamentals.”

Also review the docs on Application Scoping and Data Models in the ServiceNow product documentation. The Build My First App module is a great hands-on way to see how tables, modules, and UIs fit together.

ServiceNow’s official YouTube channel also has clear walkthroughs on app structure and development best practices.
