CMDB Feature removed from Xanadu Release

1. Please help me understand why these features were removed from CMDB in Xanadu release, what was the servicenow thought behind removing these feature?
2. Also is there any alternatives that has been provided as replacement OOTB or they needs to be manually created and configured ?

1. The CMDB Health dashboard on Core UI isn't included in new Xanadu instances. On upgraded instances, this dashboard is available but no longer supported.
2. The following widgets have been removed from the CI Health tile in the CMDB Workspace: Incomplete Attributes vs Total Attributes, Non-compliant relationships vs Total Relationships, and Stale relationships vs Total Relationships widgets.
3. The concept of the overall health score has been removed and no longer appears in any of the CMDB Health dashboards or views.
4. The concept of weighted averages and scorecards thresholds, which specify the ranges of health states, has been removed.
The bar charts for metrics in the main CMDB Health dashboard have been removed, as well as the tiles for top 10 incident, alert, and change generators.
5. The CMDB Health Dashboard - Top Task Generating CIs Calculation scheduled job has been removed."

According to CMDB Workspace Release Notes (https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/store-release-notes/page/release-notes/store/platform-capabilitie...) there is a new and improved CMDB Health Dashboard on the Workspace. If you do not already have the CMDB Workspace you can get it from the ServiceNow Store

I unfortunately have the same concerns and only picked it up based on this question you posted in the community. Thanks for this 🙂

Not sure about you, but as a customer I did not receive any notice or communication record of removal or deprecation of any of these functions. To further confuse matters the Combined Product release notes to upgrade from Washington to Xanadu did not contain these updates. It was only in the summaries of the Release notes and I had to log a case for the ServiceNow Teams to correct the notes on the Documentation Portal.

Note that the removal of the concepts and change in calculation also impacts on the CMDB Workspace and not just the CMDB Health Dashboards. 

I have not been able to find any alternate solution for the overall CMDB health calculation and am contemplating Performance analytics Custom report widget, but I don't yet understand the new logic and calculations and where to collect the data to try and aggregate a score.

I have been advised by our account manager to log a case with NOW support to assist us in the matter. If your CMDB users are making use of the CMDB Health dashboard Views (Group CMDB Health Dashboards are also impacted) you will need to migrate your users to start using the CMDB Workspace. The impact in terms of function is quite big.
