Follow these high-level steps to install and configure RSM and RO for retail location support use cases.

 

Note: As of the Xanadu release, installing RSM and RO entails installing the same plugins. Additional customer service use cases are supported with RSM, which requires installing additional plugins.

  1. Request the Retail Operations Core app from the ServiceNow app store, as well as its dependencies.
  2. Activate Retail Operations Core
  3. Create users and assign retail roles 
  4. Configure the retail data model to reflect your organizational hierarchy:
    1. Create a retail organization 
    2. Manage retail organization membership 
    3. Configure the organizational structure
  5. Set up the retail support team
  6. Configure retail case management
  7. Configure Business Location Support Portal
  8. Set up omnichannel communication options for the retail organization
