Activate HAM in a Personal Developer Instance

Morning! 

I am attempting to demo the disposal features of HAM (Hardware Asset Management) in a PDI (Personal Developer Instance). While the legacy asset plugins are installed and on OOB(Out of box), I am not able to get to HAM. 

In the list of available plugins in the instance, as well as the list that you can select from your profile for ServiceNow to install, this does not seem to be an option. 

Has anyone found a way to access HAM on a PDI?

I recall that it took a while for SAM Pro to be available in a PDI. If my memory serves me correctly it was mainly to do with providing a sub-set of the content libraries.

ServiceNow provides free Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Simulator if you have a now learning account for practicing.

Yes this is correct however if you are currently working your way through other courses in Now Learning, you would need to release one of those instances to be able to access the Simulator. This is extremely frustrating as most of the time you are trying to juggle between additional (Pro-Active) learning and immediate project learning requirements. Having to ditch an instance when working through Data Foundations, simply to gain access to a HAM Simulator, is neither practical or preferable.
