I want to make publisher complaint for which entitlement is available.

I have attached a screenshot indicating that Dragon Medical is currently marked as non-compliant, although the entitlement is available.

Could you please guide me with the steps required to remediate this and make it compliant? This will also help me apply the same approach to other software in similar situations.D1.pngD2.pngD3.pngd4.pngD6.png

Hey @akguj,

Your 6 removal candidates exist because you have 6 installations without matching entitlements. The license metric section is missing because it's in a separate table (samp_override_license_cost), not on the Software Model form.

Why You See 6 Removal Candidates
What SAM Pro Found What It Means
6 removal candidates -> 6 discovered installations with NO valid entitlement coverage
State = "Awaiting Revocation" -> SAM Pro flagged them as unlicensed
Justification = "Unlicensed" -> No entitlement rights cover these installs
From your earlier screenshots, you have 4 total entitlements but more than 4 installations. The 6 removal candidates are the installations beyond your entitlement count .

Why License Metric Section is "Missing"
The license metric and cost overrides are stored in the samp_override_license_cost table, not on the Software Model form.

To find it: Navigate to samp_override_license_cost_list.do
https://yourinstance.service-now.com/samp_override_license_cost_list.do
or search "License Metric Overrides" in the application navigator.

The warning you see "Override license costs have not been specified" means this table has no cost value for the Per User metric for Dragon Medical One .

How to Fix Both

6 removal candidates ->	Either (A) Purchase 6 more entitlements, OR (B) Remove the 6 unlicensed installs via reclamation process

License metric warning -> Add cost override in samp_override_license_cost table for Per User metric

Hey @akguj ,

 ***— Verify License Metric

Open:

Software Model → Dragon Medical One

Verify:

License metric = Per User

This means:

each user consuming software = 1 license

*** — Check License Entitlements

Open:

Software Entitlements

You already have:

2 rights
1 rights
1 rights

Total = 4

But reconciliation needs 10.

So you are short by 6 licenses.

***— Check Why 10 Licenses Are Required

Open:

SAM Workspace
→ License Workbench
→ Dragon Medical One
→ License Metric Results

Click:

Licenses Required = 10

Now verify:

which users/devices are consuming licenses
duplicate installs
inactive users
old installations

 ***— Remove Unnecessary Installations

From:

Remediation Options
→ Remove Unlicensed Installs

Remove:

duplicate installs
retired devices
inactive assets
stale software installs

This reduces required licenses.

***— Allocate Entitlements Properly

Open each entitlement record and verify:

State = In use
Active rights populated
Subscription dates valid

Then allocate entitlements to:

users
devices
installs

depending on your metric.

*** — Reconcile Again

Run:

SAM Reconciliation

*** — Verify Compliance
