Hi All,

One of my customers have multiple Salesforce instances (multiple instances and not single instance multiple Orgs) and the ask is to integrate all those instances with ServiceNow SAM Pro.

Is this possible ?

Regards,

Arun

Hello,

Yes it is possible to integrate each org individually.  Just recently done this and it is not difficult. Label each of your Organizations clearly so you know what org it is you are working with.

Thanks for the swift response on multiple orgs.  Can you help me with the steps for multiple salesforce instances?

HI @arundpm ,
I trust you are doing great.

Yes, it is possible to integrate multiple Salesforce instances with ServiceNow SAM Pro. ServiceNow provides integration capabilities through its Salesforce Connector and SAM Pro module. The Salesforce Connector allows you to establish connections between ServiceNow and multiple Salesforce instances, while SAM Pro module enables Software Asset Management processes within ServiceNow.

To integrate multiple Salesforce instances with ServiceNow SAM Pro, you can follow these high-level steps:

  1. Configure the Salesforce Connector: Set up the Salesforce Connector in ServiceNow to establish connections with each Salesforce instance. This involves providing the necessary authentication details and credentials for each instance.

  2. Define Integration Points: Identify the integration points between Salesforce and SAM Pro. These integration points can include data synchronization, event triggers, or API calls between the two systems. Determine the specific data or events that need to be synchronized or shared between Salesforce and SAM Pro.

  3. Develop Integration Logic: Write integration logic to handle the data synchronization or event triggers between the Salesforce instances and SAM Pro. This logic will depend on the specific requirements and business processes of your customer. You can leverage ServiceNow's IntegrationHub, Integration APIs, or custom scripting to implement the integration logic.

Hello Amit, thanks for the details, we are in a similar situation and are currently encountering issues with modules. Our business partners are currently not using the Digital Experience capacities, and have no intention of enabeling it. My understanding is this module is required to capture the usage of our subscribtions. Also, we had some issues around the access level that needed to be granted, the account needs to be admin on the salesforce side, our partners are not confortable with this and have requested us to lower the priviledge for the account. Do you have any suggestions? We have a ticket open with Service now, for 30 days now with no solid solutions.
