We are using subscription based licensing model for Adobe products and do not consider installed software into consideration during reconciliation. Here the problem is ServiceNow is considering installed data for reconciliation and showing the product as non complaint. I am not getting option to set "Ignore installs" as true on the adobe products.
Is there a workaround to ignore installation data at the product level, rather than adding software install conditions individually on each software model?
Thanks,
Dinesh

Hi @Dinesh Reddy By,
no, it‘s by design to include subscription and installed based data into the reconciliation, same for M365.
You can write your own script to set all Adobe related installs to „Active = False“ before the weekly recon runs, this will exclude them.
I am much more interested in why this is a problem for you? I would assume that a corresponding subscription exists for every Adobe installation and its users (assigned computer user). If this is not the case, it is a indication of incompliance.
Best, Dennis

As per VMO team, end users can install the Adobe products like Acrobat but they can not use it until VMO team explicitly grants subscription based license.
ServiceNow OOTB model works for hybrid licenses where user subscription and installed record is considered for compliance. In our case, we should ignore software installation records.
Thanks,
Dinesh

Hi @Dinesh Reddy By,
Thank you for the details about your internal processes and the requirement.
Unfortunately, I don't see any other option than to mark the Adobe installations with "Active = False" as described above.
Please keep us posted if this solution works for you or you’ve find any other way.
Best, Dennis

Hey Dennis,
The challenge I have with matching Acrobat installs and subscriptions is that all the Acrobat installs are displayed at the product level but I have subscription conditions on the software model. Do you know if I can mix install and subscription conditions on the same record?
