Should the integration between ILMT and ServiceNow automatically create Software Models?

Hi there

 

I have some questions regarding how the integration between ServiceNow and ILMT is expected to work. We are on the Washington DC version of ServiceNow and have followed the ServiceNow documentation located here. We have successfully configured the integration using the V2 APIs and have successfully imported data from ILMT into ServiceNow. We are using ILMT version 9.2.36. We have performed a ServiceNow “reconciliation” on the records imported from ILMT.

 

When viewing the data in the ilmt_v2_product_usage table, we notice that some records have “Is reconciled” = false and all records have an empty Discovery Model. Is the integration meant to create the Discovery models automatically? What should we expect to see in these columns in the integration is working correctly?

 

I've attached a screenshot of our ilmt_v2_product_usage table.

 

The problem I am try to resolve is that the out of the box integration detailed here https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-it-asset-management/page/product/software-asset-mana... has not imported the data as seen in ILMT, there are gaps and discrepancies such as missing IBM metrics.

 

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Hi, I am on ILMT integration and since you mentioned you have successfully completed the connection. I have few question, kindly provide your input.

I am referring this document: IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) and BigFix Inventory integrations

1. how can I check if we have V1 or v2 API?

2. The prerequisites are:

  • Install, set up, and run ILMT or BigFix Inventory on a physical host or virtual machine (VM).

my question is : where to install the ILMT v2, and how. Also do we have to do something in servicenow for installing ILMT
