Software discovery in vaults/scif's

New into the role and this community and working out some long running gray areas. So counter intuitive title, because obviously discovery won't work on machines on an air gapped vault/scif. How is this typically handled and measured? My thought is to provide a tech representing the vault with a report of all in use entitlements and have them report back with attestation of status and accuracy of the data, or just give them guidance and access to update accordingly.

your scenario should be the last option, to gather all details by a manual report. Based on your default inventory system (SCCM, Tanium, ITOM Discovery) you could try to build an offline agent to get all inventory details stored as a support file, ready to be imported into your companies inventory system.
