Hi everyone, we are starting to use SAM and I'm struggling to get the User Allocation information auto-filled into Software Entitlements. For example, we have a Direct Integration set up with Microsoft 365 and it correctly pulled in our Software Models. The Software Models has user information in the Software Subscription tab.
My understanding is that the reports in SAM, such as Software Asset Overview and Software Asset Analytics, are based on Software Entitlement usage data, not Software Models. If correct, how do we get User Allocation data into a Software Entitlement without manually entering users?

Hi @DylanB,
the user allocation could be an additional process to a) allocate consumption for user/devices with missing discovery details or b) to show a valid software request and ensure the user/device consumes an active use right (Recon process will process allocations first and in the next steps all other details like installs, subscriptions, ...)
With reference to M365, SAMP will not copy any allocation data from the Software Model subscriptions into the entitlement details. it is not necessary to add any allocations to your M365 entitlements.
SAMP reports are based on the "Reconciliation Results" and recon process takes care of all inventory sources (Install, Subscription, Allocation, Call, Resource Values, ...) and calculates the currente license position.
Best, Dennis
