It seems as though this could be reviewed by several different groups so I thought I would start with SAM.
ServiceNow has separate modules for purchasing and in SAM Pro the software models have VCIs. The VCIs are created in order to add the models to the product catalog and have POs issued. My question is that if Procurement would be using the VCI for the PO then why are software models automatically created only by the PPN after the purchase is completed since you would need to have the software model created before the purchase is completed? This of course is if you use all of ServiceNow’s modules, which we are doing and I would think ServiceNow would like to happen. It seems that the VCI should be on the Procurement side and not the SAM Pro software model so this could happen as SAM Pro was designed.
