Software reclamation- Uninstallation of software not working as expected

Hi team,

 

We have a requirement to un-install the restricted software from system using Software reclamation. We are able to create removal candidate record for restricted software. Installed CSD 2.0 latest version and for testing , i tried to uninstall Visual studio from test device. Removal candidate workflow triggered successfully and work notes are showing like success. But still software is there in test device.

 

Please let me know if I have missed any configuration here.

Hi @saranyavs ,

software is still installed, then usually:

  • uninstall command/package failed on endpoint
  • ACC/CSD agent did not execute uninstall properly
  • discovery has not refreshed installation data

Check:

  1. ACC Agent status
  2. ECC Queue / ACC logs
  3. Reclamation rule uninstall method
  4. Endpoint tool integration (SCCM/Intune/Tanium etc.)
  5. Run discovery/reconciliation again
Software Reclamation initiates the removal workflow, but actual uninstall depends on the endpoint management tool or ACC execution.
