Upgrading SAM Pro to SAM Enterprise

Hello All

 

Customer is in Sandiego version of SAM Pro and we are planning to upgrade to SAM Enterprise.Could someone help me with the below ?

We have entitlements loaded and software models published in catalog.What is the impact ?

What is the procedure to upgrade ?

The only technical difference between SAM Pro and Enterprise are two additional capabilities that are made available through plugins: Cloud Insights and Machine Learning Normalization.

 

In an upgrade event, you retain use of your existing SAM Pro plugins, with no impact to your existing entitlements.

 

Please work with your ServiceNow account team to ensure you are appropriately licensed for SAM Enterprise, and with your partner for plugin installation guidance.

We do have license and need to come up with a plan to customer on how to proceed with the upgrade.

Can you please suggest me if there is any plan to follow or its just like activating any other plugin from the HI portal? Do i need to be aware of any post upgrade things to perform ?

Hi Gowthaman, the process is similar to activating other plugins via HI portal. Provided you are mostly using out of box functionality, it should be a seamless upgrade. All you are doing is enabling the Cloud Insights application on the platform and giving yourselves the option to enable Machine Learning Normalization.
