Community,
I've been studying for Security+ for a while, but then I learned that there is a cousin to it: the Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) cert. Which, IMO, aligns almost perfectly with ServiceNow's SecOps offerings.
CySA+ maybe does not have the "street cred" of Security+ but I feel that it aligns better with SecurityNow. I'm a BPC. Does this make sense? Should I pursue Security+ and CySA+?

Hi Joel,
Although I don't have either the Security+ or the CySA+, I do have a few other industry certifications.
At first glance, the CySA+ curriculum seems very well aligned with the offerings that we have with ServiceNow SecOps, specifically with VR, SIR, etc. It also has the fundamentals to understand the language used when interfacing with internal SecOps stakeholders when implementing either product.
I recommend you go straight for the CySA+; it will help you understand the language and requirements of security professionals when implementing SecOps. Security+ is generally reserved for individuals with zero background knowledge of cybersecurity, typically come from an IT background, and are looking to switch careers.
Hope this helps.
