Hi All,
I am trying to connect MSIM with Microsoft Teams as per the steps provided in the attached Quick Setup guide. I followed the same steps and didn't get any errors during the setup. But unfortunately, I am getting the below error while testing.
After further investigation we found, that the chat or channel is not visible in the Major Security Incident – Collaboration tab(as shown in the above screenshot), and when we checked on the SI to MSI Promotion flow, there is an error found from one of the sub flows called “Create Team”. The “Create Private Team” action is failing with the below error:
“Failed to get license information for the user. Ensure user has valid office365 license assigned to them”.
Please note, we are trying to configure the teams chat integration in our development instance, and we need help in fixing above error. It would also be helpful to know if anyone faced this issue already and could clarify if office365 license is required to test the teams chat in development environment.
Can you please suggest to me where am I going wrong? It would be helpful if someone had any documents on how to test.
@AntonioChallita : Can you please help here in this case? I have followed your webinar as well

Hi @Maloy Banerjee1 thanks for reaching out! You do need a valid Microsoft/Office365 license to be able to fully configure Microsoft Teams Chat and SharePoint folders in MSIM. If you'd like us to look into issues specific to your environment, can you please open a support ticket? That will enable our team to obtain more information about your platform version, application version (etc) and be able to best support you. Thank you.

Hello @AntonioChallita
Thank you for your response.
We established the connection with the DEV instance of MS Teams and the users from the field Channel Users and the members from the group mentioned in the field Channel User Groups from the Chat Channel Configuration are present in the MS Teams DEV Instance.
As per our stakeholders, we have a valid O365 license but I still want to understand what license is required exactly and for what set of users in the configuration.
Can you please suggest?
Thanks,
Maloy Banerjee

Hi @Maloy Banerjee1. The O365 plan should include MS Teams and MS SharePoint apps. The users who will be part of the team/channel need to have access to MS Teams app. Similarly, to access SharePoint, users need to have a valid SharePoint plan.
