Updating AVIT to Closed or reopening it does not update its corresponding JIRA issue

We are implementing Vulnerable Response with JIRA integration. On the Agile Tool State mapping form a note was written stating, "Note: The state will only be synchronised from ServiceNow to Agile tool if the entity state is Closed in ServiceNow or if any entity is Reopened (i.e. State is Open). All other states will be reflected from Agile tool to ServiceNow."

Updating JIRA issue state updates AVIT state. But closing or reopening AVIT does not update the JIRA issue. Is this the expected behavior or am I missing something?
