What are the pre requisites required for recommend solution of Now Assist to be used.

Hello Everyone,
Am trying to build a solution based approach for remediation task rules. Considering remediation notes is populating the solution for VIT's. When am trying to use recommend solution it gives 0 results after processing all the VIT's associated with it's remediation Task.

Want to understand to use recommend solution on remediation task are there any prerequisites? Also will it also work for custom Integrations in VR.

Hi,

Yes, there are a few prerequisites that should be verified before Recommend Solutions can process Vulnerable Items (VITs) associated with a Remediation Task.

Please verify the following for the VITs linked to the Remediation Task:

• The VIT must be in an active state, such as Open, Under Investigation, Awaiting Implementation, or In Review. VITs in Closed or Deferred states will not be processed.
• Both Configuration Item and Vulnerability must be populated on the VIT.
• The associated Vulnerability must have at least one available solution, and the applicable solution should be marked as having the highest supersedence.

If none of the VITs associated with the Remediation Task meet these prerequisites, Recommend Solutions will return 0 VITs processed and 0 solutions found.

Since the remediation notes are already being populated, that alone does not make a VIT eligible for the recommendation. I would recommend validating at least one VIT linked to the Remediation Task against the above criteria.

I have tried this, unfortunately preferred solution is not getting populated. Any other way around to get a solution based remediation tasks ?
Any other approach to have remediation tasks that we can try?
