Why are some Remediation Tasks description field missing information and some are not?

Hi all,

Does anyone know what sets the short description of remediation tasks? We noticed some remediation tasks descriptions were missing vulnerability information and not sure why this may be occurring.

We were able to resolve this for our instance by running the "Qualys Knowledge Base (Backfill)" integration job at the same frequency as our "Qualys Host Detection Integration" job, about 5 minutes prior to ensure we have the latest vulnerability information from Qualys available in ServiceNow prior to importing any new vulnerabilities from the tool.  Our issue stemmed from having a daily Knowledge Base update in the morning and routine Host Detections running every couple hours throughout the day.  So, if there was new vulnerability information available and found mid-day, the vulnerability records wouldn't have the full detail available to populate the record.

Thank you for your response! The summaries for all the VIT's are populating but not for remediation tasks. Currently, the description fields for the tasks are not populating while all the VIT's have their summaries. I am not sure we're talking about the same problem since we do have all the summaries for the VIT's. Please let me know if we're talking about the same problem and I'll try out the solution you provided.
