Hi all,
We’re looking into ways to collect process and TCP connection data from Azure VMs for CMDB or dependency mapping — without using the Dependency Agent, which is deprecated and end-of-life by 2028.
Are there supported alternatives for this in ServiceNow?
Has anyone used tools like Defender for Endpoint, Osquery, or ACC for this use case?
Is there a roadmap for handling this in the Service Graph Connector for Azure?
Any experience or pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Jan

Hi @Jan Sierens
Yes, we can use ServiceNow Agent Client Collector (ACC)
ACC is ServiceNow’s agent-based replacement for dependency agents
Designed to collect deep process and TCP connection data for: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management. Works across Windows and Linux, including Azure VMs
Doesn’t require MID Server credentials or remote access
As of Yokohama (and Tokyo/Rome), the Service Graph Connector for Microsoft Azure focuses on only meta data of Virtual machine, Resource groups and subscriptions, Tags, regions, virtual networks.
