SCCM integration - Data pulled also registers in cmdb_key_value table

We recently implemented SCCM integration to our instance and I noticed that the workstation pulled also registered in cmdb_key_value table. I would like to ask if this is normal or what part of the integration inserts the data in cmdb_key_value table
