Hi everyone,
I’m currently setting up the AI Service Graph Connector for Microsoft in AI Control Tower, and I’ve run into an error during the "Configure and test AI services connection" step.
The Error:
Alert level: Critical. Test connection failed. Reason: No projects found for resource: abc-ai-foundry. Cannot test connection.
My Configuration Details:
Connection URL:
https://abc-ai-foundry.services.ai.azure.comOAuth Grant Type: Client Credentials (using OAuth client ID and Secret)
Token URL: Azure AD (v2.0) endpoint
What I've Checked:
The OAuth credentials are valid and the token is being retrieved successfully.
The resource
abc-ai-foundryexists in Azure.- Same credentials are working all fine for Configure and test ML services connection.
- Service Principle (App Registration) has been granted Azure AI User in
abc-ai-foundry.
Questions:
- Is there a specific API permission (Scope) required for the Service Graph Connector to enumerate projects within the AI resource?
Does the "Connection URL" need to point to a specific workspace rather than the top-level service URL?
- Is there any specific I may be missing ?
Any guidance on the specific Azure RBAC or AI Foundry permissions needed to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for checking Mathew. Issue was resolved with the help from support person. It was related to permissions in Azure for Service Account.
