Hello All, while doing the task in the training by mistake I deleted the Mid Server in the nowlearning simulator. Can someone help me how to get it restore? I tried looking and building it but do have details as it was provided by ServiceNow for completing CIS CMDB training. Please help/suggest.

Hi @vikas-agarw
Terminate the existing instance and create a new one.

Hello @vikas-agarw
You cannot restore or rebuild the MID Server in a NowLearning simulator
The MID Server used in NowLearning / ServiceNow training simulators is managed and pre‑configured by ServiceNow.
If you accidentally delete it:
- You cannot recreate it manually (because the simulator MID Server uses special credentials and predefined settings that are not shared).
- You cannot restore it inside the simulator (no recycle bin or rollback).
- You cannot download or install your own MID Server into the simulator platform.
Only working solution
Reset or restart the lab environment in NowLearning.
- Terminate Instance: Look for the "Terminate Instance" or "End Lab" button on the Now Learning course page for that specific simulation.
- Request New Instance: Once terminated, click the "Request a lab instance" button to start over with a fresh, pre-configured environment where the MID Server will be properly set up.

Hi @vikas-agarw ,
Navigate to All > Deleted Records, check whether the deleted midserver record present there, if it is restore that record. or else you have to terminate the current instance and need to get the new one. (Note: your current labs which you did will be gone)
If this works, please mark it as helpful and please accept my solution..

1st try raising case with ServiceNow from Now learning and see if they can restore using their admin access
If not then get new instance and continue on your training.
