I dont have any exprience of Servicenow. I am working in IT for more then 8 years in Mainly support . have little bit of exposure to programming as well. Is it a good idea to come to Servicenow and make it a career. How is the day to day life of an admin , is it hectic ? Any input will be appreciated.

Hi Faisal,
Not always easy to answer this type of question as it's a bit biased coming from someone already doing the job, and it all depends on what you want to do.
For me I would say yes it is a career move to make, especially based on the size of the customers that SN have, I get offers daily of jobs for Administration, implementation, configuration and bespoke application development.
Day to day it depends on what role you cover, personally I cover Admin, Config, Architecture, Development, Testing, BAU, Support (quite a bit) so it is very hectic, however some companies will have specific users for specific roles so you are concentrating on one aspect. I like the varied job of doing everything though so I don't mind it.
I would suggest signing up to the Developer site and requesting an instance that you can go in and take a look at, you can play around and even try developing some stuff to see if it fits what you want to do. ServiceNow Developers and there is a whole host of information in the documentation Product Documentation | ServiceNow that can help show and guide you through stuff.
All the best!

Many thanks Steven for your detailed answer. .
I will definitely try the Developers site . I think you are the Guru of Servicenow as you can do everything.
Do basic admins get the calls every day for job as well

Yes, a lot of companies are currently trying to get hold of people with ServiceNow experience/skills.
Part of this is due to the mandatory upgrades SN have been doing, companies are no longer able to sit on the earlier releases and suddenly realise they need admin who know what they are doing.

Hi Faisal,
I think it's a superb idea to come to Service Now, i am sure you will love it. The opportunities and scope is very good.
About hectic, i can say that it depends upon the project you are put into. But I am sure its not that hectic specially when you love what you are doing
