Hello Team,
I am new bee on Discovery, and I need to run discovery to get infrastructures in Cloud AWS and Azure.
I have few basic questions.
Do I need MID servers to be installed in each Cloud (AWS and Azure) ?
Is it possible to run discovery without MID servers if we don't have MID in there?
What kind of discovery results I will get without MID server in cloud?
Please also point me to the right documentation link for AWS and Azure both.
Thank you so much.

Azure discovery
Setup video
Withouth mid server, you cannot discover the hosts in cloud enviornment.
To do discovery withouth mid server, you need to setup tons of APIs for each resources, host which is not possible when organization is big and not a good practice also.
With APIs you can get results, but not everything and its time taking.
You have to seperatly setup mid server in aws and azure .
Each mid server for each cloud enviornment.

Hello There,
Sorry to ask again but are you 100% certain that each cloud environnement has to have it's own MID Server?
I am also setting it up for the first time with a Mid Server on Premise for all ressources (On Prem, Azure & AWS) and during my researches on the documentation it never mentioned that a mid server was needed on each infra.
When taking a closer look at the AWS configuration doc it also said that depending on wether or not the mid server was an EC2 than the mid server should have the role parameter...
Are you 100% sure that it is mandatory? that would explain a few issues that I am having...
So far with the current setup I am able to discover Cloud Ressources but not the VMs. Discovery gets cancelled because it doesn't get any IP Range.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Jo
