Delivering a first password through ServiceNow

Hi All,

We're looking at ways to improve our delivery of Passwords to new starters at our organisation. 
Currently we deliver the password when they visit our Service Desk in person, or if they phone the Service Desk and pass security checks. Ideally we'd like to automate this.

I was wondering if anyone has had  any joy creating a way to deliver a password via ServiceNow? I was thinking maybe some extension of a Service Portal which would check some details that they would have provided applying for a job and then presenting a password that had been generated by our Identity system. 

Any help with this would be amazing.

I assume you are using SSO? In that case just don't do it. Because that would mean you are providing people with passwords outside of your applications (no login possible). 

You are going to be asking users questions in an open environment to prove their identity. 

Why not just generate an email with a 'change on first login' password from the system that generates the passwords for the accounts?
