Discovery Source field is not being updated.

Hi all,

The I'm experiencing that the discovery source field only gets populated when a Discovery Source have created a record in the cmdb, and not when it's updating an already existing record. Does anyone know why this is happening? I would expect the discovery source field to be updated every time a change is made.

IS there any business rules to stop the update? Have you looked at the CI history table?

I have not found any BRs. And looking at the audit table, I can see that updates have been made, but not on the discovery_source field

Are there any required fields that are not being filled in that would stop updating? What sources are not using the CI?

Well, the fields ARE being updated. It's just that the discovery source field isn't being updated.

 

Concrete example: SCCM is updating computer records, but the discovery source field remains empty.
