I want to hide few items from portal view. Itil users can order those items from instance but not from portal view.

Are you using service portal?
We are, and we have solved it by creating another service catalog and placing these "internal items" in that catalog. We have added a link to the catalog under the "Self-service" application only visible for itil users.
As the items are not placed in the service catalog covered by the Service Portal, they won't show up in there.

Yes, we're using service portal.
Actually, there are couple of items which we want to hide. So, creating two catalogs will not look good here. Is there any way we can hide those items in the current widget?

No not without modifying the widget, and adding some sort of custom true/false field "Hide in SP" to filter them out in the service portal.
I don't think a user criteria would work, as this is evaluated on the server and therefor does not know if the user is accessing in via the the regular interface or via SP
