How to create user in global domain?

Hello,

I have global separation enabled in my instance and have multiple domains created in it. When I am trying to create new user in it it is going to by default in TOP/MSP/Default domain. I even tried to override it in the list but of no use. Also there were some users that were created in global domain earlier but when I am resetting its password the domain is getting changed to TOP/MSP/Default. Any guess as why is this happening?

I have used this link for visibility domain for individual user but it is not helping me to create user in global domain. (https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/kingston-platform-administration/page/administer/company-and-domain-separation/task/t_GrVisDomIndUser.html)

Can anyone please suggest how to create user in global domain when domain separation is enabled in the instance?

Thanks.

Do you have global domain access? if yes, you could update the domain field in the user record, or change your domain using the domain picker, and create from there.

I did try to update the field but it getting changed to default again on its own.

If you have access to global, your domain picker would need to be set to global and then update the domain field. If you don't have access to global, you cannot create a user in global nor change the domain.

I have access to global domain and while creating the user  also global domain was selected but still it is considering the default domain. Even while changing the domain of a user I am working from global domain only. Don't know where are things going wrong..
