Hi,
You need to activate first the plugin "I18N: Internationalization" and once this has been activated you need to Activate the Individual language Plugin required for translation say for example "I18N: Spanish Translations". Different Language plugins are available, depending on the required language needed the plugin can be activated as shown below by clciking on the Activate button after opening the plugin form.
Once the plugins are activated you can navigate to System Localization Application menu and use Translated Field module for the translation.
Hope this helps.Mark the answer as correct/helpful based on impact.

Hi,
Shloke's answer is correct. I would like to add more to it.
Step 1: Activate the plugin (as mentioned by shloke)
Step 2: Know about translation tables (it is must)
The five tables for localisation are:
1. Translated Name / Fields (shortform is TRF)
2. Messages (shortform is MSG)
3. Field Labels (shortform is GMLD)
4. Choices (shortform is CHC)
5. Translated Text
Step 3: Enable |18N Debugging to see which translation table need to hold translation data for that specific key word.
Step 4: Import the translated data in translation tables (you can use transform map for this)
Step 5: Clear cache of browser or use incognito mode for testing (Reason is - most of the times, translated text will not be displayed properly as browser is pulling old cache. And we will think that we are doing wrong)

Hi Neevi,
I was looking for more information on step 2 mentioned above ( tables for translation).
I am yet to start with the implementation for language support. I have installed plugins required for specific languages. Main purpose is to translate catalog items newly created. What are all the things which should go in these tables if I consider one catalog item?

Sarva
