Team,
I am looking in to some examples of Storage Area Network discovery. I am totally new to storage discovery.
I understand that we have to use CIM (SMI-S) credentials to run the discovery. My question is after the successful discovery what kind of data do we get in what tables?
Some snap shots with scratched out details would be really appreciated.
This will really help me what to expect after successful discovery.
Thanks.

Storage area network (SAN) discovery is a process that enables an SAN-aware host to locate a specific SAN device and its configuration in a network. It is performed via a single protocol that is supported by all types of SAN devices regardless of the vendor that manufactured the devices. The protocol is the FICON (Fibre Connectivity), which is an iSCSI extension. SAN discovery is a process that is used to discover the SAN configuration and devices by a SAN-aware host. It is a multi-step process that uses a set of host-initiated commands to discover the specific target device within a SAN. A host can be a server or a host bus adapter (HBA). SAN discovery can be performed using the iSCSI or FICON protocols. These two protocols are enhanced versions of the iSCSI, So get more information from PSEE solutions.
