What are the advantages of using 'Notify' plugin?

We can send out SMS notifications directly from the ServiceNow instance utilising the notification devices, then what is the need for the 'Notify' plugin. What additional benefits are offered by the plugin considering it comes at an additional cost?

ServiceNow® Notify provides SMS and voice channels on the ServiceNow platform for communicating internally with team members and externally with customers and contractors. Combined with On-Call Scheduling, Notify shortens the timeline for mobilizing resources to begin working on an incident or task by alerting the correct people. Notify also provides tools through Incident Alert Management and Notify on Task for users to collaborate with each other to resolve and close incidents and tasks. This includes SMS messages and conference bridges. The same communication mechanisms can be used to communicate with affected users, such as alerting customers that a system is not available and then again when it has come back online. Use of these tools leads to reduced response times, fewer breached SLAs, and better customer satisfaction.
